Floe: Floe envisions a world where we can respond to nature’s winter challenges without damaging nature itself.

Panluminate: Panluminate’s proprietary microscopy will revolutionize biological research by enabling the average scientist to acquire high-end three-dimensional images of their samples at a fraction of the time, cost, and difficulty of current state-of-the-art methods.

Telex: This tool makes building 3D models as easy as sketching on paper and sculpting a piece of clay.

New Haven Civic Innovation Prize

Y2Y: Y2Y New Haven is a student-led, 20-bed overnight crisis housing program for young adults (18-24), providing 24-hour wraparound services, a uniquely inclusive environment, and an innovative student-staff model that lowers barriers to trust.

Collab: Collab’s mission is to provide entrepreneurs with impactful, rigorous business support using a compassionate, heart-centered approach so that they can build good businesses, create economic power, and shape New Haven for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Project Lighten Up: Inspired by Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, Project Lighten Up addresses Newhallville residents’ safety concerns. NHS, city officials, and local leaders have collaborated for 8 years to improve street lights and install exterior house lights, and are transitioning to motion sensor solar units.

LawText: Using unsupervised and supervised machine learning such natural language processing, topic modelling, and sentiment analysis, LawText is an AI-powered platform designed to support immigration attorneys and asylum seekers.

EnlighteN: A tech solution to the growing number of opioid overdoses that happen when patients are alone.

Mindful Kala: Mindful Kala aims to help elevate mental and social well-being by utilizing Indian Classical Dance to explore mind-body movements and cultivate intercultural relationships!

Origin Healthcare: Helping patients avoid the isolation, complications, and high costs of a traditional hospitalization. Our expert medical team provides personalized, hospital level care to patients at home.

Sunset Sanctuary: Sunset Sanctuary helps older adults live with dignity, security, and comfort in their own home and community as they age. Our first product, Pocket Blueprint, identifies home risk factors to help prevent fall-related injuries, thereby fostering independence and aging in place.

Rothberg Catalyzer Prize @ Yale

Mobile Memory: Mobile Memory is an AI-driven platform that monitors cognitive health using speech-based analytics. Our venture is pioneering a new cost-effective and accessible tool to screen for Alzheimer’s disease based on vocal biomarkers.

PF Glucose: PF Glucose is working to develop a noninvasive glucose monitor that eliminates the need for painful finger-prick devices. Sugasense is an easy-to-use, accurate, and affordable alternative to the devices currently on the market. 

Recore Medical: ReCore was created to address the growing need for cancer diagnosis around the world. We are creating reusable biopsy devices that reduce cost and increase global access to procedures that are the gateway to timely cancer treatment.

EcoPackables: EcoPackables is a sustainable packaging company that manufactures and distributes compostable and recycled packaging. Our mission is to eliminate the use of virgin paper and plastics in packaging by partnering with purpose-driven brands to switch to our packaging.

MAA’VA: MAA’VA creates affordable and sustainable 3D printed housing by turning plastic waste into eco-concrete. Traditional construction time, costs, and wastes are cut by over 60%, while plastic is recycled to build stronger, more eco-friendly structures.

Qi Foods: Qi Foods aims to bring traditional East Asian superfoods to the mainstream Western market through a brand that educates consumers about these foods, its flavors, and health benefits starting with a naturally sweet beverage line made with East Asian superfoods and produced with a sustainable and transparent supply chain.

Shoots: Shoots invigorates farmers to grow more crops on less land more sustainably. Our biostimulant, which is a non-fertilizer product that is beneficial to plant yield, is proven to increase growth by 216%, reduce fertilizer use by 50%-100%, and promote carbon sequestration.

Elevation Med Prep: Elevation Med Prep’s mission is to make medical school admissions consulting accessible to everyone—regardless of their ability to pay. We want to create a world where physicians are representative of those they serve.

Sprxng: Sprxng is a reusable menstrual disc that provides menstrual pain relief. Our disc is designed for an easy insertion and a mess-free removal. At Sprxng, we are on a mission to combat the stigma around menstruation and to improve the global menstrual experience.

Thinking Huts: Thinking Huts is on a mission to close the global opportunity gap by building 3D printed schools. We believe in a future where education and opportunity are paramount.

Females for Finance: Females for Finance is a non-profit that aims to bridge the gender inequalities in the financial industry by providing high school girls with a foundation in financial literacy, investment, and the necessary skills to build a career in finance and transform the industry from within.
